Overview
WLC Programme focuses on Writing, Language and Comprehension! Secondary English can be a bit daunting for students, especially if they are transitioning from Primary to Secondary. The components of the English paper differ quite significantly in terms of depth and complexity, and this class will enable students to build up a strong foundation from the get-go. The class will focus on most of the components of the English Paper, with greater emphasis on the following heavy-weights:
Editing (5%)
Situational Writing (15%)
Continuous Writing (15%)
Visual Text Comprehension (3.5%)
Narrative Comprehension (14%)
Non-Narrative Comprehension & Summary (17.5%)
The sequential nature of the classes will allow students to be familiar with the flow and demands of the English paper at the Secondary level. This programme will equip students with all skills necessary to tackle the various components of the English paper successfully.
